What is Myotherapy?

Myotherapy is an evidence based new form of manual therapy, that includes the treatment and rehabilitation of acute or chronic muscle and joint pain. Myotherapy plays a unique role in helping the body recover from muscle and joint related pain and dysfunction. This form of physical therapy began as an extension of Remedial Massage and has emerged to treat more complex conditions than Remedial Therapy can address alone. Myotherapy expands beyond massage, using a wide range of treatments to aid muscle and joint recovery. It incorporates a deeper understanding of the human body, anatomy and physiology into its massage techniques, along with other manual therapy interventions.

At your first appointment with our Myotherapist, they will ask some questions about your symptoms and medical history, including prior illness and surgery. This information is used to help pinpoint the cause of your symptoms and map out the best treatment techniques needed to .
